De Meye
De Meye Estate is a family-owned winery, situated in Muldersvlei on the Stellenbosch Wine Route, arguably South Africa’s most prestigious winemaking region. The Myburgh family has been farming in this area for five generations. We aim to make great wine that people can enjoy sharing on and off the estate. The Table Restaurant offers delicious meals made from locally sourced ingredients. Today, our family’s history and farming tradition forms an integral part of our business story, this is echoed with the Myburgh family crest serving as De Meye’s logo. Our current owner, Philip Myburgh, is upholding the family’s history, whilst assuring a dynamic and modern take on wine and its production.
Description
Aroma – Flavours of passion fruit, citrus, melon and dried apricot characterise this wine, backed by hints of minerals and fresh cut grass. Palate – The wine showcases melon, citrus and brulee. Well-balanced acidity and a long persistent finish complete this wine.
Food Pairing
Best served chilled with fresh salads, a variety of mild cheeses, fish and seafood, chicken dishes, sushi and creamy mussels. An all-time all-round favourite!
