Currently, in their fourth generation, the Graaff’s can be attributed many successes, including supplying electricity to the city of Cape Town for the first time, building the biggest refrigeration company in the early 1900s called Imperial Cold Storage, the 1st Baronet was even the mayor of Cape Town at the age of 32. Description
This Merlot showcases a vibrant ruby-red color with garnet reflections. The nose reveals an inviting bouquet of black cherry, raspberry, and subtle floral hints of lavender. On the palate, the wine is smooth and layered, with juicy red berries, sweet licorice, and well-integrated French oak notes that add structure and a touch of mocha. The tannins are fine and balanced, leading to a clean, lingering finish.
