In the heart of Provence, in the south-east of France, 80 km north of Marseille, Château La Nerthe is a magical belvedere place, overlooked by its 18th century castle and 16th century cellars. Between Avignon and Orange, you can admire the Dentelles de Montmirail, Mont Ventoux and the Palais des Papes. The vineyard covers 92 hectares in the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation with more than 50 plots representing all of the appellation's terroirs. The Château appears unique and unforgettable, nestled in its green park, like an island surrounded by 60 hectares of historic vines in one piece. Despite its majestic appearance, the Château has always been a welcoming place conducive to moments of discussion around its wines.
Description
Dark red ruby colour with garnet reflections. On the nose intense notes on little red berries (raspberries & black current). On the palate generous fruity touches (ripe cherries) along with vegetal and spicy scents (laurel and pepper). Tannins are silky and fine. The Les Cassagnes 2021 is a very balanced wine with beautiful acidity, vibrant fruit expression and subtle tannic structure, definitely an airy, fine and elegant wine!
