In 2006 Chateau Domeyne was purchased by Claire Villars Lurton--owner of Chateau Haut-Bages Liberal and Chateau Ferriere-and her husband Gonzque Lurton-owner of Chateau Durfort Vivens. They poured all their energy and know-how into elevating Chateau Domeyne’s quality and reputation within the appellation. Their vineyards cover 8.3 hectares near Chateau Calon-Segur comprised of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 60% Merlot with an average age of 40 years. They rest on the ridges and plateaus of Saint-Estephe’s well-draining soil composed of clay and limestone. As a result the wines develop round fleshy tannins beautiful depth of color powerful structure and great aromatic finesse.
Description
Deep color, lovely cassis nose and lots of fruits. The nose has delicate notes of red fruits and spices; the palate is full‐bodied and powerful, showing with the typical freshness of the vintage.

Roast duck with crushed new potatoes in a rich jus.
