Chateau Bellefont-Belcier
Château Bellefont -Belcier is located in the commune of Saint-Laurent-des-Combes in the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation area. The vineyard extends over 13.5 hectares of vines in one piece. It is divided into three distinct zones: the limestone plateau, the south clay-limestone coast, the foot of the clay-sandy coast. On these different types of soil, we find the three great red grape varieties of Bordeaux in the following proportion: 72% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc and 11% Cabernet Sauvignon spread over 28 plots. The average age of the vines is around 35 years.
Description
Aromas of crushed rock and stone in the forefront, the nose then moves towards the floral side before the red berries and licorice kick in. Flavors of wild raspberry, chocolate, walnut and mushrooms. Its terroir is revealed even more accurately through a refreshing limestony tension. Polished and racy tannins, fine, powerful, full and lively.
