Complex aromatics of ripe white and yellow fruit, dried flowers, honeysuckle and vanilla. Subtle notes of spice from the wood. The palate is lean yet complex with striking acidity and freshness and a subtle richness. Aged for 12 months in selected French oak.

A blend of Chenin blanc, Chardonnay and Verdelho. All three components were whole bunch pressed and fermented in French oak barrels except for a small portion of Verdelho which was fermented in a porous egg-shaped vessel. The wine is left on its fermentation lees for 12 months before bottling takes place. The Chardonnay was fermented in a combination of new and 2nd fill barrels, the Chenin in new, 2nd fill and 3rd fill and the Verdelho in old neutral wood and the egg.

Cavalli Wine Estate is located on the outskirts of Stellenbosch, South Africa in an area known as the Helderberg also known as the Golden Triangle due to the exceptional quality of wines that are produced in this region. With 27ha of vineyards planted in rich koffieklip soils and cooled by late afternoon breezes from False Bay our vineyards benefit tremendously by the unique terroir in which the vines are planted. The utmost care is taken to ensure that the vineyards are meticulously farmed for the production of only the most premium quality fruit. Cavalli Wine Estate is home to some of the best Chenin blanc and Cabernet sauvignon in the region, both of which have been at the helm of producing award winning wines. We also focus on Chardonnay, Viognier, Verdelho, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Shiraz.
