While many contemporary Chianti wines are enjoyable, they lack the distinctiveness and genuine expression of terroir that Castell’in Villa's exemplifies. Their unwavering commitment to traditional Tuscan Sangiovese sets them apart, vividly conveying a sense of place that is both unmistakable and compelling. Medium garnet-red with hints of pink and brick orange at the rim, this Chianti Classico parades bright aromas of blackberries, raspberries and other brambly fruits mixed with leather, tar, brown spices, smoke, and cedar. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, approachable with flavours that mirror the aromas and an intriguing, long-lasting finish.
