Cape Of Good Hope
This is a range created in recognition of the Cape of Good Hope’s vinous heritage which stretches back more than 350 years when the first Governor of the Cape planted grapes. These unique wines are the result of irreplaceable parcels of old vines and site specific terroirs. The labels reflect the grape variety as well as the origin and singular characters behind them.
Description
Very typical aromas of plum and white pepper on the bouquet. The wine announces itself gently, with softly rounded and juicy red and black fruits. Spice too. This wine is about texture: satin smooth yet velvety and cosseting. Pliable and supple but with a notable core holding it firm. Although a subtle cedar flavour is apparent, it doesn’t overwhelm, just knits harmoniously. Elegant and refined but approachable, it lingers long.
Food Pairing
Black pepper and poppy seed crusted venison loin.
