Cape Of Good Hope
This is a range created in recognition of the Cape of Good Hope’s vinous heritage which stretches back more than 350 years when the first Governor of the Cape planted grapes. These unique wines are the result of irreplaceable parcels of old vines and site specific terroirs. The labels reflect the grape variety as well as the origin and singular characters behind them.
Description
Gentle nose of blue and black fruit with a brush of spice, dried herb, liquorice and a haunting violet floral note. Those same elements can be found in the mouth: the ripe blue and black berry fruits, herb, liquorice and spice. It is abundantly fruited but genteel, refined and velvety smooth –but also fresh and succulent. Nothing is overplayed, the palate is structured and integrated with seamless oaking contributing to the soft mouthfeel and texture and framing the fruit well. Rewarding lingering tail and elegant finish.
Food Pairing
Black pepper and poppy seed crusted venison loin.
