Cantina Zaccagnini
The Azienda Agricola Ciccio Zaccagnini was founded in 1978 and today produces approximately 1 200 000 bottles per year. Under the guidance of its winemaker Concezio Marulli the company applies the most up-to-date wine-making technologies and implements a total quality control system throughout the entire production process. The history of the Zaccagnini vinery is rooted in the passionate relationship between man and nature wine and arts celebrated year after year in November with Uvarte. Famous artists are invited and dedicate a label to the winery. These labels are part of a collection line.
Description
Deep ruby red colour, featuring garnet reflections that intensify with aging, this wine boasts a complex and intensely fruity aroma. Notes of ripe fruit such as plum and cherry blend with hints of tobacco, leather, and a slight touch of vanilla, the result of maturation in barrique. On the palate, it reveals a robust structure, well-balanced by mature tannins and a lively freshness. Its evolution in the mouth is rich and persistent, with an aftertaste reminiscent of sweet spices and dark chocolate.
Food Pairing
Zaccagnini Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva is ideal for accompanying robust red meat dishes, such as roasts and stews, as well as aged cheeses and dishes rich in intense flavours.
