The 2025 vintage of this Sauvignon Blanc presents a translucent appearance with a bright green hue. The nose is opulent, bursting with a cocktail of fruits, showcasing aromas of peach, passionfruit, pear, lychee, and fynbos. On the palate, it is lively and concentrated, delivering flavors of melon, tropical fruits, gooseberry, and a creamy richness from extended lees contact. The wine lingers with vibrant acidity and minerality.

Each vineyard is harvested and vinified separately to ensure maximum complexity. All fruit is hand-picked in the early morning and handled reductively to preserve the fruit’s integrity. After destemming, a period of skin contact is allowed according to chemical analysis, phenolic, and flavor ripeness. Three days of cold settling follow a light pressing to clarify the juice. A maximum of 600 liters per ton is recovered at this stage. Each vineyard is inoculated with selected yeast to match its flavor profile. Fermentation lasts for 21–30 days at 13–16°C.

Black Elephant Vintners is a South African wine brand known for its playful and unconventional approach to winemaking. Based in Franschhoek, the winery was founded by Kevin Swart, Raymond Ndlovu, and Jacques Wentzel. The name "Black Elephant" is a combination of Swart ("black" in Afrikaans) and Ndlovu (which means "elephant" in Zulu), with Jacques being the vintner.
