Alvi’s Drift is a third-generation, family-owned winery in South Africa’s Breede River Valley. Named after the bridge connecting the farm, our 410-hectare estate lies in the cool-climate Scherpenheuvel ward, where diverse soils shape our award-winning wines. From crisp whites to elegant reds, MCCs, and sparkling wines, each bottle reflects a love for craft and terroir. Description
Pale straw-coloured with intense aromas of peach, passionfruit and stewed quince, this medium bodied wine boasts citrus and floral notes, a creamy, balanced palate and soft, well-integrated tannins. Offering a deliciously lingering, tropical-fruit finish, this wine can be enjoyed straight away, or matured for up to eight years.
Food Pairing
This wine will perfectly complement any vegetarian dish, asparagus quiche or Asian soup in particular. It will also pair well with seafood or chicken, as well as a strong, creamy gorgonzola cheese. Serve this wine between 10 -12 ËšC.
