Prior to he studied and developed his winemaking skills in Montpellier, Beaune, Australia and Japan. Alex follows his father's philosophy: a lot of work in the vineyards and a minimum of intervention in the cellar, to ensure the final product reveals the nuances of the terroir.
Description
The 2023 Brouilly comes from 80- to 90-year-old vine on soils rich with schist and granite. It’s a gorgeous vintage, showing defined and pure red fruit, tea and crushed stones. Texturally a triumph of Gamay, with vibrancy, sapid tannin profile and lashings of minerality. Delicious now and with bags of ageing potential.
