TANAGRA is an idyllic wine farm close to McGregor and part of the Robertson Wine Route and Route 62. We offer comfortable accommodation in well appointed guest cottages, produce handcrafted wines and stylish Grappa, Brandy, Fruit Liqueurs, and Eau de Vie.
Double-distilled from local Hanepoot (Muscat d’Alexandrie) pressed grapes/pomace and then matured for 3 years in an ex-muscat cask. Vibrant amber colour. Fragrant muscat. Spicy and delicate, with hints of walnut. Perfect balance of fruit and wood, with the ex-muscat cask accentuating the rasin character of the Hanepoot grapes it’s been distilled from. 40% Alc
Nose:
This grappa exudes a rich and fruity bouquet, filled with the sweet and aromatic scents characteristic of the Muscat grape.
Palate:
On the palate, it presents a smooth and flavourful profile. The Muscat grape imparts distinct notes of ripe fruits, enhanced by a subtle spiciness that adds depth to the flavor.
Finish:
The finish is long and warm, with a delightful sweetness and hints of spice that linger, reflecting its careful aging process.
