Verdejo

A Spanish varietal native to Rueda in the North-West. Rediscovered about 15 years ago, this grape varietal is now finding success when planted in calcareous, well-drained soils at higher altitudes. This cultivar is quite prone to oxidation but this can be combatted successfully with reductive winemaking techniques. the most famous use of Verdejo can be found in Rueda Superior. Typically Verdejo has soft, creamy, nutty overtones accompanied by notes of honey. Browse our Verdejo wine selection online and order the right wine for you.
