The Doctors Journey Sauvignon Blanc

The Usana Sauvignon Blanc is a superb wine for drinking on its own on a nice warm summer afternoon or it can be perfectly partnered with salads, fish and chicken dishes.

Our grapes came from a single block on our farm, Klein, Welmoed in Stellenbosch. All the vineyards were trellised. All grapes are harvested by hand in individual bins in optimal conditions to ensure true quality from beginning to end.

It spent extended time on the lees. It aged for about 7 months before blending and bottling.

We do whole bunch press. The wine was fermented and aged in old oak barrels and a couple of fermentation egg. The wine was naturally fermented.

Usana is situated in the beautiful and historic Stellenbosch Wine Region on Klein Welmoed the Winshaw Family farm. The Winshaws have been farming on Klein Welmoed for forty-four years; over the past few years the family has diversified the farm by introducing the Usana produce. This new venture boasts a portfolio of four wines; Cabernet Sauvignon Sauvignon Blanc Pinot Gris and a barrel fermented Chenin Blanc.
