Usana is situated in the beautiful and historic Stellenbosch Wine Region on Klein Welmoed the Winshaw Family farm. The Winshaws have been farming on Klein Welmoed for forty-four years; over the past few years the family has diversified the farm by introducing the Usana produce. This new venture boasts a portfolio of four wines; Cabernet Sauvignon Sauvignon Blanc Pinot Gris and a barrel fermented Chenin Blanc.
Description
The Chardonnay has a soft entry, displaying elegant fruit with notes of citrus, with texture and complexity added from ageing in oak. The oaking is mild to express the freshness of the fruit.
Food Pairing
The Chardonnay will pair well with grilled fish and chicken dishes. It will also pair well with seafood such as salmon and tuna as well as lighter pork dishes.
