With the ebb and flow of the tide and the cool breeze blowing off the Southern Ocean, Trade Winds present their wines from prime vineyards of the Western Cape, located near the tip of Africa.
Description
Complex nose of cassis, lead pencil, with the dusty tobacco and spicy tones of classic Cabernet Sauvignon. Palate follows through with layers of black fruit, mulberry, plums and black current, long balanced finish of silky tannins with good grip. Still youthful character which will develop over the next 3 to 5 years.
Food Pairing
Bacon-wrapped blue cheese stuffed dates or a savoury mushroom tart would make the perfect start to your meal followed with a good juicy steak, especially slightly fattier steaks like ribeye and sirloin, slow-braised lamb shanks, venison, ostrich, or duck.
