Brut Réserve

Taittinger Brut Réserve pairs well with a variety of dishes, including shellfish (especially oysters), fish, and light appetizers. Its crisp acidity and delicate flavors make it an excellent choice for both casual and celebratory occasions​.

This champagne is crafted from a blend of 40% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, and 25% Pinot Meunier. The grapes are sourced from over 35 different vineyards across the Marne, Sézanne, and Aube regions. Taittinger owns nearly 300 hectares of vineyards, allowing them to select the best grapes from each harvest to maintain consistency and quality​.

This champagne is ready to drink upon release but can also be aged for a few additional years to allow further development of its flavors. The high proportion of Chardonnay allows it to mature gracefully, maintaining its freshness and elegance​.

Taittinger Brut Réserve is aged on the lees for a minimum of three years before release, which contributes to its complexity and depth. The dosage is 9 grams per liter, balancing the wine's natural acidity and enhancing its flavors. The use of 20% reserve wines adds further richness and consistency to the blend​.

Champagne Taittinger was established in 1931 by Pierre Taittinger on the foundations of Forest-Forneaux itself established in 1734 and the third-oldest wine producing house of Champagne. Taittinger is today proprietor of approximately 600 acres of vines among which are included parcels in the one hundred - percent rated villages of Cramant and Avize in the Cote des Blancs; and Bouzy Mailly Ambonnay and Verzenay in the Montagne de Reims. The Taittinger Estate is one of the three most extensive in the Champagne district and the firm's major holdings in Chardonnay vineyards are the physical expression of the Taittinger philosophy and style.
