Blanc De Blancs

This Blanc de Blancs pairs beautifully with rich seafood, including lobster and shellfish, as well as with creamy desserts, which complement its full-bodied profile and lively acidity​.

This sparkling wine is produced in Franschhoek, South Africa, using the traditional method (Méthode Cap Classique). It undergoes an initial fermentation in 40% oak barrels, followed by more than five years on the lees. This extended aging period adds complexity and depth, highlighting the aging potential of the Chardonnay grape​.

The wine’s lengthy lees aging (over five years) enriches its texture and contributes to the creamy mouthfeel, typical of fine Cap Classique wines.

The Pierre Jourdan range of Méthode Cap Classiques and still wines was named after the French Huguenot to whom the Franschhoek property was granted in 1694. True to French tradition, only the best quality Chardonnay and Pinot Noir fruit are used to create Pierre Jourdan wines.
