Paserene
Paserene is a small family operated winery owned by Martin Smith and Ndabe Mareda the sole purpose of which is to produce high-end luxury wines. Great care was given to ensure that the wines produced and artwork on the labels are truly authentic to its “sense of place and people” and will guarantee a lasting legacy. The name Paserene comes from the Latin word Passeriformes the order of traveling and free birds containing swifts and swallows. Paserene is situated in the quaint town of Franschhoek and is home to their award-winning wine range. A professional and contemporary tasting lounge is situated on the property.
Description
Vibrant colour with a greenish tint. Intense tropical aromas with pineapple, melon and ripe sautéed banana. The palate of the wine is floral with a racy acidity that leads to a beautiful finish.
Food Pairing
This full-bodied Franschhoek wine will shine when paired with roasted asparagus and artichokes, drizzled with a citrusy sauce and topped with herbs. White fish and shellfish are ideal for long, leisurely meals and plenty of glasses of our stunning Shiner. Grilled pork and chicken with tomato-based sauces are also fantastic choices for the freshness of the Sauvignon Blanc. Briny, fresh oysters and scallops sprinkled with dill and coriander will not go amiss with a crisp glass of this wine.
