This wine is perfect served as an aperitif with canapes or with a hearty roast chicken.

A cool season extended longer than usual, followed by a surprising temperature jump in January. This resulted in a smaller grape harvest compared to 2021. However, meticulous vineyard management shone through. Vineyards that implemented good practices yielded exceptional grapes, leading to wines of outstanding quality.

The rosé spent a year maturing, allowing its flavours to meld seamlessly. After an additional four months of bottle aging, it was ready to be uncorked and enjoyed.

Harvested grapes were gently pressed to extract their juice, minimising skin contact and preserving the wine's delicate pink hue. Following fermentation in stainless steel tanks to retain freshness.

Paserene is a small family operated winery owned by Martin Smith and Ndabe Mareda the sole purpose of which is to produce high-end luxury wines. Great care was given to ensure that the wines produced and artwork on the labels are truly authentic to its “sense of place and people” and will guarantee a lasting legacy. The name Paserene comes from the Latin word Passeriformes the order of traveling and free birds containing swifts and swallows. Paserene is situated in the quaint town of Franschhoek and is home to their award-winning wine range. A professional and contemporary tasting lounge is situated on the property.
