5th generation Heinrich Lategan started his career as a jeweler. Soon he returned to the family farm between Bainskloof and Breedekloof to become winemaker. His approach to winemaking is gentle and creative and his love for family is displayed in most of what he does (he named his Méthode Cap Classique after his daughter’s joyous laughter). Heinrich used 63% Chardonnay and 37% Pinot Noir in the making of his wine which also spent 24 months on the lees and shows has dried peach and citrus aromas.
