Maria Noble Late Harvest

Ideal with fruit- and custard-based desserts, blue cheese or strong cheeses, fig preserves, and nuts; excellent as a dessert wine on its own.

Made from 100 % Weisser Riesling grown on the historic Neethlingshof Estate in Stellenbosch, a heritage property founded in 1692. The grapes are hand-harvested late (around 37° Balling), carefully selected for noble rot concentration.

After fermentation, the wine is aged on lees before bottling.

Whole-bunch pressing after 24-hour skin contact; juice is fermented at 14–16 °C over ~25 days, then fermentation halted to achieve high residual sugar. No malolactic fermentation.

Neethlingshof Estate has a long and rich tradition of wine making in Stellenbosch, the second oldest and most premier wine producing area of South Africa. The Estate occupies an incredibly privileged site with ideal natural conditions, soils, slopes, altitudes and climate to produce a variety of great wines. All the grapes for the Neethlingshof wines are grown on the estate and all the wine is made, matured and bottled in the cellars of the estate.
