Montirius
Montirius is a family-owned winery located in the southern Rhône Valley of France, known for its commitment to biodynamic winemaking. The estate spans 63 hectares across prestigious appellations like Gigondas, Vacqueyras, and Côtes du Rhône, and has been farmed biodynamically since 1996. The winery is operated by Christine and Eric Saurel, representing the fifth generation of winemakers. Montirius produces a wide variety of wines, including reds made from Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre. The estate is celebrated for its pure expression of terroir, avoiding the use of chemicals and additives to maintain the natural balance of the vines and soil. This philosophy results in wines that reflect the distinct characteristics of the Rhône Valley.
