Massolino
Massolino is a historic family-owned winery located in Serralunga d’Alba, one of the most prestigious communes of the Barolo DOCG region in Piedmont, Italy. The estate was founded in 1896 by Giovanni Massolino, who established the winery and played an important role in developing the village, even helping introduce electricity to Serralunga d’Alba. Today the winery is run by the fourth generation of the Massolino family, including Franco and Roberto Massolino, together with winemaker Paolo Vacca. The estate is internationally respected for producing traditional, structured Barolo wines that emphasize the terroir of Serralunga d’Alba.
Description
This Nebbiolo is ruby-garnet in colour. The nose is delicate and pleasing, with notes of raspberries and violets and a subtle touch of spice. On the palate, the wine is elegant with soft tannins balanced by a fine minerality and vibrant acidity.
