Lothian Vineyards is an Elgin producer specialising in cool-climate Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling and Rosé. Set beside the Palmiet River and a private lake in the Kogelberg Biosphere, the estate focuses on site-sensitive winemaking that reflects the freshness and restraint of the Elgin Valley.
Description
Salmon pink in colour fading at the rim. Nose is freeze dried strawberries and raspberries. Darker floral notes of Jasmine and frangipane. Taste has the strawberry and raspberry from the nose accompanied by alcohol-macerated whole cherries. The dryness and acidity of this wine is disguised by the sweet impression of toffee apple, and mebos. A superb mouthfeel, long and dense driven by the fixed acidity leads this wine to a clean finish making it a sophisticated Rosé to accompany any mid-day celebration with the focus on food.
