Good rainfall and favourable climatic conditions during the growing season allowed for good fl owering and fruit set. Most vineyards saw a signifi cant increase in yield, and the ripening period was nicely spread out due to the cool, moderate conditions during summer. Good healthy fruit with beautiful fl avours and analyses make this 2020 vintage one of the most outstanding and enjoyable vintages in recent years.

The wine was blended and kept on the fine lees for 9 months before being bottled.

This premium rosé is made in the same dry style as the iconic rosé wines of Provence, France. Grapes were hand-picked and packed into lug boxes before being transported to the cellar in refrigerated trucks. Great care was taken to minimise the amount of colour extraction from the grapes through gentle pressing, before settling and fermenta- tion in stainless steel tanks.

Anthonij Rupert Wyne was founded on the farm L’Ormarins in Franschhoek. Originally owned by the late Anthonij Rupert who passed away in 2001 the farm was eventually taken over by his brother Johann Rupert in 2003 and the brand named after him. It was Johann Rupert who constructed a state-of-the-art winemaking facility catapulting the farm into a prestigious wine estate and the beginnings of what is now a sprawling enterprise. The focus is on terroir specific wines and therefore the ranges are made from a number of sites. Each site offers optimum varietal specific growing conditions allowing Anthonij Rupert Wyne to adhere to the requirements of their different brands.
