Le Grand Domaine
Le Grand Domaine is situated at the top of beautiful Devon Valley, overlooking the majestic Stellenbosch mountains. Devon Valley is one of Stellenbosch’s best-kept secrets, both scenically and viticulturally. Vines have flourished here since the 18th century and it has an enviable reputation, not only for the red wines that are made here, but also as a source of premium grapes. The Devon Valley was demarcated in 1997, within the Stellenbosch Wine of Origin. The valley is open to the south and demarcated by low hills on the other sides. We practice clonal selection for the newly replanted vineyards. Our aim is to recognise why some traditional practices work, including Massal Selection, so that our vineyards are unique to the terroir. With its rare microclimate and terroir, Le Grand Domaine is ideally suited to red Bordeaux cultivars.
Description
An expressive Sauvignon blanc with a crystal-clear color. Vibrant notes of gooseberry, sweet melon and hints of pineapple, playfully bounce off each other. A refreshing acidity tightly knits these fruit layers, capturing the essence of a unique South African Sauvignon blanc.

Would go well with any seafood dish, creamy chicken dishes or just a simple salad.
