Lammershoek is proud to have the privilege to produce wine from this historical Chardonnay block dating back to 1981, which still yields amazing class and quality. These dryland-farmed bush-vines deliver very small berries which are carefully basket-pressed as whole bunches to extract the juice from this noble variety. Planted next to the cellar, one would note that the block is camped off due to our local wildlife, mainly small antelope, with their keen interest in sampling the berries on our behalf. By protecting this limited crop, we are able to create one barrel of this liquid gold each year.
