Grapes are harvested and destemmed at optimum ripeness. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with two pump overs per day to ensure colour and flavour extraction. After three weeks the grapes are pressed before going into a selection of first-fill (50%) and second-fill (50%) 300 liter French oak barrels.

The 2018 winter was more favourable than the previous three years and with enough rainfall for dam levels to recover. Budding was good, although bunch formation was negatively affected by wet and windy conditions during flowering. The summer was relatively cool and harvest commenced slightly later than normal. Analyses were promised with high acids and low pH levels. Bunch development was uneven and impeded harvesting time. This was one of the smallest harvests since 2015. All vineyards are established and trellised on prominent hills roughly 7km from the False bar coast. The soil is a combination of weathered granite, shale and coffee stone gravel with food drainage and water retention properties. Sustainable farming practices are followed and vineyards are managed to optimize air flow and sunlight exposure to create the ultimate growing conditions. After a 24-month period of barrel maturation, the wine was blended and filtered before being bottled in June 2021.
