The Grande Provence White

This rich, complex wine needs to be savoured. Its vibrant acidity will cut through creamy dishes and rich cuisine. Salty cheeses will also be well suited to it.

Further aging on the lees in barrels took place for a period of 8 months. The eventual blend is a combination of ripe fruit flavours and mellow oak nuances. The Viognier provides a heady perfume of stone fruit while the Chenin Blanc provides a sturdy acidity and tropical notes.

The grapes were mainly sourced from the Wellington area and Stellenbosch. They were all hand-harvested and whole bunch pressed, then fermented in French oak barrels with selected yeast strains.

Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate is one of the most historic and prestigious wine estates in Franschhoek, South Africa. The estate's origins date back to 1694, when the original land grant was awarded by the Dutch East India Company, making it one of the oldest wine farms in the Cape Winelands.
