A world renowned as Scotland's Little Gem and arguably the most unique. Dating back to 1825, Edradour, stands alone as the last stronghold of handmade single malt whisky from a farm distillery still in production today.
Originally called Glenrorres in 1825, the distillery was renamed Edradour in 1937. The ultimate Edradour 9yo is a heavily sherried Highlands single malt, matured in first fill sherry butts. The impact that a quality sherry butt can impart on a whisky can be very rewarding. It is non-chill filtered and has no added colour.
Nose:
Woods, apricot, honey and butterscotch.
Palate:
Very spicy and lively, marmalade, toasted nuts, cherries, some pepper and clove. Oriental overdose.
Finish:
Long and luxurious, chocolate and coffee, rich and rewarding, malty with some tobacco. Sophisticated finish.
