Dornier Wine Estate is situated at the foot of Stellenbosch Mountain in the famous wine sub-region, The Golden Triangle. The focus at Dornier lies on the production of premium quality red and white wines that are expressive of the unique terroir of the area. Ancient decomposed granite soils found on cool, south facing slopes lead to the production of elegant wines of complex structure. Description
Dornier Cocoa Hill Ruby Red 2020 is a blend of Merlot (34%), Shiraz (30%), Cabernet Sauvignon (19%), Malbec (14%) and Petit Verdot (3%) from vines that grow in the decomposed granite soils of Cocoa Hill – a hilltop in the folds of the Stellenbosch Mountain. The wine shows aromas of black and red fruit, pepper and a hint of spice. The palate is flavourful and well balanced with concentrated fruit, fresh acidity and fine tannins and a lingering finish.
