"This is aromatically quite similar to the Caillerets with just a bit more floral influence. There is excellent intensity and minerality to the sappy and mouth coating flavors that exhibit terrific length on the bitter lemon suffused and slightly warm finale. This too needs to develop better depth on the but that should occur over the next decade if held to full maturity. AM

50 year-old vines, east facing on clay & limestone soils, 0.34ha. This great appellation charms both the curious seduced by the evocation of “Demoiselles” as well as connoisseurs sensitive to the proximity of the grands crus. The name "Les Demoiselles" is given in honor of the (old) daughters of General de Beaune in the early 19 th century, Adele and Julie Voillot, owners died without marriage. This pretty name is reserved for the southern part of the plot which is also registered under another name: “Les Caillerets”. “Les Demoiselles” is also used in addition to the appellation “Chevalier-Montrachet” for wines from the Chevalier Grand cru plot located just up on the hillside.

Since 1920 generation after generation the Amiot family have plunged their roots in the soil and terroir of Chassagne-Montrachet. Arsène and Flavie Amiot founders of the estate initiated a wine vocation that has reached the 4th generation represented today by their great grand sons Thierry and Fabrice. Guy their father who had given a new start to the family business since 1985 can be satisfied by the immortalization of the family tradition.Thanks to the maintenance of the business by the family sons who follow one another at the head of the Domaine the vineyards have remained owned by the family. This allows a more traditional viticulture free from any speculative spirit.
