Light green reflections in a bright and limpid straw yellow color topped with a thick disc. Due to its soil rich in clay and limestone, this wine presents an expressive and flattering nose while roundness. The aromatic richness of the nose is confirmed by an ample and creamy mouthfeel with characters of minty freshness, white fruits and honeyed almonds. The finish is supported by the freshness of exposure to the morning sun and the minerality of a stony subsoil.

East facing, 35 year-old vines, 05ha, clay & limestone. Beautiful plot bordering on the northern residential area of the village, next to the “Chenevottes” and the “Vergers”. At least two explanations relate to the name of “Macherelles”: it would be either an edible plant which grew in ancient times in this place, or the feminine of “Machuré”, thus designating the inhabitants of the village. The first layer of soil is composed of clays drained by the rains from the top of the hill. When digging, we find limestone elements in which the roots of the vine plunge in search of water and nutrients from the soil.

Since 1920 generation after generation the Amiot family have plunged their roots in the soil and terroir of Chassagne-Montrachet. Arsène and Flavie Amiot founders of the estate initiated a wine vocation that has reached the 4th generation represented today by their great grand sons Thierry and Fabrice. Guy their father who had given a new start to the family business since 1985 can be satisfied by the immortalization of the family tradition.Thanks to the maintenance of the business by the family sons who follow one another at the head of the Domaine the vineyards have remained owned by the family. This allows a more traditional viticulture free from any speculative spirit.
