Beaujolais-Villages Rouge

Charcuterie, grilled meats, cheeses

All the vineyards of Beaujolais-Villages are located in the municipality of Lancié which is the only municipality of Beaujolais-Villages enclosed between the Crus Morgon, Fleurie and Moulin à Vent. The vineyard is 45 years old and lies on granitic, sandy-granitic and clay-sandy soils.

The wine was aged in tanks for 7 months, then 12 months in bottles before it was released.

The grapes were all hand harvested and brought into the cellar where semi-carbonic fermentation called « Beaujolaise » with temperature regulation, first filling before malolactic fermentation took place over 7 to 12 days.

Since 1976 and over the years, we have worked in the most reasoned way possible, respecting our vines and our terroirs. Our goal is to obtain very healthy grapes, in order to produce fine, structured, complex wines with a beautiful harmony. On the Estate, the grapes are harvested manually in order to have the healthiest fruit possible before being put in the vats. The Domaine des Nugues is located in Lancié in the North of Beaujolais, bordering the Moulin à Vent, Fleurie and Morgon vintages.
