Sauvignon Blanc

This is the perfect wine for seafood dishes or anything with an underlying richness that just begs for Sauvignon's clean, dry acidity to liven it up.

Grapes are picked in the early morning when their richness of fruit is keenly balanced with vibrant natural acidity and cool green fruit flavours. Careful handling in the vineyard is continued in the cellar where dry ice and cooling are used to preserve the delicate flavours of Sauvignon Blanc.

Following fermentation, the wines remain on lees for 9 months to create a richer mouthfeel and unlock more of the aromatics bound in the yeast cells. Bottling takes place in December of the harvest year.

The precision and finesse that we have cultivated in the vineyard need to be expressed in the cellar. Gentle pressing and blanketing with dry ice help to prevent unwanted oxidation of the delicate juice. Cool fermentation with selected yeasts helps unlock the aroma in the juice.

Domaine des Dieux produces a small range of award winning premium quality wines. These wines are produced with the same fundamentals as the great French and European wines thus we encourage all our wines to be cellar aged in order for them to reach their full potential. The farm was bought in 2002 by two wine lovers with a dream. A combination of good quality grapes much patience and a love of champagne set the stage for Domaine des Dieux to officially become the first producer of MCC in the Hemel en Aarde region. The dream had become a reality.
