Chavy-Chouet: Two families two villages on the Côte d’Or linked by a love for terroir over seven generations… After six years at a specialist winemaking school and with plenty of experience in winegrowing and vinification around the world under his belt Romaric has given the estate a makeover. He has been running it single-handedly since 2006 watching over his 15 hectares of vines with a rigorous eye. He is proud of his roots and his approach combines rigor tradition and innovation.
Description
Nose: The mixture of grated lime, oyster shells and yellow fruits, blown by a gentle sea breeze and delicately smoky notes, outlines the nose of this very attractive Aligoté. With great internal balance and an obvious edge, the nose announces a flawless representative of its variety. The mouth: On the attack, the 2020 Les Maréchaux Bourgogne Aligoté from Chavy-Chouet is revealed with a present attack and good pressure. It's fueled by its nimble acid nerve, nourished with a creamy, juicy melt-in-the-mouth, with a firm structure and gritty bite. Aromatically it oscillates between citrus, limes and distinguished saline notes in the long finish.
