The André Mathieu Estate consists of family-owned vineyards that have been handed down from father to son for more than four centuries. The traditions and inherited expertise involved in making Châteauneuf du Pape wines have thus been upheld over the years.
Description
Colour: Brilliant and limpid ruby colour of a beautiful intensity with carmine reflections. Aromas: Very elegant nose with a lot of intensity and complexity, with aromas of red and black fruits (blackberry, raspberry…), garrigue and dried roses accompanied by a note of liquorice. Palate: The attack is suave with a nice concentration that expresses itself in silkiness and elegance with pure aromas of ripe fruit and spices. The finish is complex with a long persistence ending on a peppery note.
Food Pairing
Best served at 16°C with roasted and red meat, game birds and cheese.
