De Wet Cellar
De Wet Cellar was founded on 15 April 1946 and is the oldest cellar in the Worcester area. Originally, it produced about 3 000 tons of gapes annually, but over the years it has developed into a quality cellar processing around 19 000 tons annually. The main focus of De Wet Cellar is to over deliver on quality, thus creating a product that markets itself. The variety of terroirs in the De Wet-Overhex-Nuy-area where De Wet Cellar’s grapes are grown, secures the style of wine De Wet Cellar is known for.
Description
A mashup is a creative work, usually in a form of a song, created by blending two or more prerecorded songs, resulting in a more approachable version with a wider audience. This same concept was used making this wine. With a typical De Wet style stone fruit flavour profile, all three of these cultivars bring their own jam to the party. Fermentation took place in older barrels ensuring a beautiful integration of wood and fruit flavours.
Food Pairing
A very versatile wine. This wine will partner with any Proud South African traditional meal.
