A versatile wine that can pair with red meats but is also very enjoyable on its own.

The wine rests in fourth fill French oak barrels for 24 months.

The components of this blend of 52% Shiraz, 35% Mourvedre and 13% Grenache are fermented separately before being blended for barrel ageing to ensure optimal integration and balance.

The unique location and terroir of our vineyards lead to the production of superb wines which truly reflect a sense of origin. Oude Compagnies Post is located high up against the rocky mountain slopes of the Tulbagh valley and is South-East facing. The early morning sun and cool afternoon breeze from the mountain allow the grapes to stay healthy and achieve optimum phenolic ripeness.
