On a due east-facing 5.5 ha hillside, on a formation of the first foothills of the Massif Central, with a soil of friable pink granite containing little organic matter. Two cadoles (dry-stone huts), one from the 18 century, testify to the historic nature of this terroir. This is a part of the appellation that we particularly like, for the Granitic purity and its poor soils that give distinctive wines with very elegant fruit aromas.

At Château Thivin , the oldest wine - growing estate in Mont-Brouilly , a special atmosphere reigns, that of a human-sized castle where the Geoffray family has been developing, for 6 generations , quality wines with the greatest respect for the terroirs. The grape harvests carried out by hand and the somewhat interventionist vinifications make it possible to obtain real local wines. The Domaine's vines are located mainly on the Crus Côte de Brouilly and Brouilly, but we also produce Beaujolais Blanc, Rosé and Sparkling cuvées from the most magnificent Beaujolais vineyards.
