Brouilly Reverdon

A wine that can be drunk throughout a meal! It goes wonderfully with cold cuts and white meats.

On a 5.5 ha eastern slope, on a formation of the first foothills of the central massif with a crumbly pink granite soil containing little organic matter. Two cadoles, one of which from the 18th century attests to the historical quality of this terroir. It is a sector of the appellation that we particularly appreciate, for the Granitic purity and the poverty of its soils which gives racy wines with very elegant fruit flavors. Grass strips and others plowed cut this soil sensitive to thunderstorms, little sensitivity to diseases due to the very draining soil, justifies little treatment during the summer. The harvest is harvested manually and transported in small boxes to respect the qualities of the grape.

Maceration over 8 days only to capture all the freshness of the fruit, aging for 7 months in cement vats.

Vinification in whole bunches in our cellars on the hillside, which makes it possible to use gravity to the maximum by the play of successive stages in order to not use any pump or conveyor for the harvest.

At Château Thivin , the oldest wine - growing estate in Mont-Brouilly , a special atmosphere reigns, that of a human-sized castle where the Geoffray family has been developing, for 6 generations , quality wines with the greatest respect for the terroirs. The grape harvests carried out by hand and the somewhat interventionist vinifications make it possible to obtain real local wines. The Domaine's vines are located mainly on the Crus Côte de Brouilly and Brouilly, but we also produce Beaujolais Blanc, Rosé and Sparkling cuvées from the most magnificent Beaujolais vineyards.
