Cape Rock
Cape Rock Wines is situated between the towns of Vredendal and Klawer 300km north from Cape Town and 30 km inland from Doringbaai on the West Coast of South Africa. We grow a variety of red and white grapes such as Syrah Grenache Mourvèdre Carignan Cabernet Sauvignon Grenache Blanc Roussanne Marsanne Viognier and Colombard. The vineyards are located on a single 11-hectare farm just above the banks of the Olifants river floodplain.
Description
The wine is light to medium bodied with hints of red cherry and some earthy flavours on the nose. The tannins are extremely soft and fine and the acidity (even though not high) quite noticeable.
Food Pairing
Enjoy with a lamb rib chop. The wine is ideal to be enjoyed slightly chilled and will go well with firm cheeses and charcuterie.
