Isliedh

This wine pairs beautifully with seafood dishes, such as oysters, lobster, and grilled fish, as well as with lighter poultry dishes and creamy pasta. Its vibrant acidity and minerality also make it an excellent match for fresh salads and goat cheese​.

Grapes for the 2024 Isliedh were sourced from two specific vineyard parcels located on the sea-facing slopes of Chapman's Peak in Noordhoek. These sites are characterized by severe winds and rocky, decomposed granite soils, resulting in low-yielding vines that produce grapes with concentrated flavors and complexity.

The 2024 Isliedh was aged for 16 months, with the Sauvignon Blanc component in French oak barrels and the Sémillon in clay amphorae. This ageing regimen contributes to the wine's complexity and balance.

The Sauvignon Blanc component was fermented in French oak barrels, while the Sémillon underwent fermentation in traditional clay amphorae to highlight its mineral aspects. The wine was then matured on fine fermentation lees for 16 months, enhancing its texture and depth.

Cape Point Vineyards is uniquely located in the Cape Peninsula where it is set rather majestically against the slopes of the famous Chapman’s Peak mountain range and overlooks the nearby Atlantic Ocean – a mere 1 2km’s away. Cool sea breezes along with ancient mountain soils make for a unique terroir with a late growing season that results in a world class Sauvignon Blanc with minerals tones and great complexity.
