Bosman Upper H&A Sauvignon Blanc

The wine is produced from vineyards located in the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, a region known for its cool climate and unique terroir. The vines benefit from the proximity to the sea, which provides cooling breezes, and the stony, well-drained soils contribute to the wine's minerality. This vintage includes a small percentage of Semillon (approximately 7%) to enhance the blend's aromatic complexity and mouthfeel​.

Grapes are carefully hand-sorted and destemmed before being pressed. The juice is allowed to settle and then fermented at cool temperatures to retain freshness and enhance the aromatic profile. The use of extended fermentation techniques allows for the development of complex flavors. The wine is blended two months prior to bottling to ensure harmony and integration of flavors​.

The Bosman family have a history of growing wine in the Bovlei of Wellington, dating back to 1810. Throughout eight generations they have worked hard to create a better life for all who live and work on the farm, rising to challenges and finding solutions, often in the unexpected. Wine is made in their historic 260 year old cellar, but their approach is progressive and innovative: a plant improvement unit ensures that Bosman remains at the forefront of the development of new, clean plant material and varietals; while their vine nursery ensures a continuous supply of healthy rootstock and vines.
