The vineyards for "Prior" are situated on the Valdobbiadene hills at altitudes ranging between 70 and 450 meters above sea level. Protected by the Monte Cesen and Col Visentin mountain ranges, the vines benefit from moderate winds and significant temperature variations between day and night, contributing to the development of aromatic compounds in the Glera grapes.

After manual harvesting between September 15 and 30, the grapes undergo gentle pressing. Fermentation occurs using the Martinotti-Charmat method, with secondary fermentation in autoclaves, a process that preserves the fresh and fruity characteristics of the Glera variety.

Founded in 1760, the winery rose to prominence under the leadership of Giuliano Bortolomiol in 1949. Since then, their Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG has grown in stature and prominence and today is considered one of the world’s finest Proseccos, a true pioneer to the Brut style since 1960. Now in the capable hands of his daughters, the female-run winery continues to produce high quality Prosecco from some of the best vineyards in Valdobbiadene, Italy.
