Wright Blue Pea Flower Gin is known for its striking blue hue, derived from the butterfly pea flower. When mixed with tonic or other acidic mixers, it undergoes a fascinating color change, turning from blue to a soft lilac or pink shade. This transformation creates a visual spectacle, adding an element of excitement to the drinking experience.
Nose:
The aroma offers a sweet and floral bouquet with prominent notes of lavender, followed by the distinct scent of juniper berries. Additional fragrant notes of locally grown Buchu and a hint of citrus from orange peel add complexity to the nose.
Palate:
On the palate, Wright Blue Pea Flower Gin balances floral sweetness with earthy tones from the butterfly pea flower. The flavor profile features a strong juniper presence, complemented by the fragrant Buchu. Notes of smokey Persian lime and cherry blossom add depth, while orange peel provides a zesty finish.
