Nose:
This whiskey is marked by sweet, grassy, and floral notes right off the still, with hints of apple as noted by critics.
Palate:
The palate offers a traditional spicy rye character, complemented by light, tropical nuances due to its unique aging process using fresh cut oak staves in once-used bourbon barrels. This results in a lightly oaked and rounded rye distillate.
Finish:
The finish is robust, presenting clove, bitter chocolate, and cinnamon. It also has a noticeable presence of alcohol, which gives it a strong character.
